AMERICAN SYSTEMS Completes Initial Build-out of PEO Defense Health Management Systems Testing Infrastructure

AMERICAN SYSTEMS today announced it has completed the initial build-out of the Testing Infrastructure for the Program Executive Office (PEO) Defense Healthcare Management Systems (DHMS) as part of a contract to provide Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for the Test Infrastructure Managed Service (TIMS) contract under the GSA Connections II contract. The Testing Infrastructure is hosted at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL) in West Virginia.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, in support of PEO DHMS and its associated program offices (DMIX, JOMIS, DHMSM, IPO), provides day-to-day infrastructure operations support to IT systems, applications, networks, and virtual environments, including configuration, monitoring, service desk, asset management, and additional technology functions.

“AMERICAN SYSTEMS is delighted to be supporting PEO DHMS with their important mission of modernizing the Military Health System (MHS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) and establishing seamless medical data interoperability within the DoD, the VA, and the private sector,” said Peter Smith, president and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “This work further expands AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ end-to-end healthcare IT offering, and, more importantly, is a step toward ultimately helping improve the health care of the active duty military, Veterans, and their beneficiaries.”
