Job Description:
DDL OMNI Engineering desires to hire a full-time Senior Systems Engineer, with experience in the Department of Defense (DoD), to provide support to the Deputy Director, Developmental Test and Evaluation (DD, DT&E) in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Systems and Software Engineering (SSE) in the area of Department of Defense (DoD) energy policy. This Senior Systems Engineer develops and coordinates Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), acquisition (DoD 5000 series/Defense Acquisition Guidebook) energy policy, guidance, best practices, and analytical methodologies for the DoD acquisition community. As the Sr. Systems Engineer, you will support and/or lead studies and working groups involving a combination of OSD, Joint Staff (JS) and/or Service headquarters staffs to address DoD business processes, analytical methods, technology and design trade space relative to the Joint Capabilities Integration and Developmental System (JCIDS) and major defense acquisition programs. The ideal candidate will develop education and training courses to address DoD acquisition energy policy for the Defense Acquisition University and Components. The Senior Systems Engineer will also prepare presentations and documents that clarify complex DoD acquisition policy issues in relevant terms for senior DoD executives. Further, this position conducts outreach to the Services, academia and industry acquisition communities. Senior Systems Analysts with previous DoD and/or Pentagon experience should apply now!
Education Preferred:
MS in System Analysis, Engineering, Business Management, Economics, Public Administration, Policy Analysis; or related discipline. Candidates with a BS in Engineering or related discipline AND 14 years of experience will be considered.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience with DoD acquisition programs/processes/program oversight
- Systems and Software Engineering
- Previous OSD/Joint Staff/Service headquarters/program office level experience
- Ability to draft OSD-level issue papers, staff summaries, memoranda and briefings
- Capability to translate technical issues for senior decision makers and Government staff
- Familiarity with Joint requirements-generation process
- Acquisition program documentation including Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous OSD/Joint Staff/Pentagon experience a plus!

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
