With vast experience in modeling and simulation (M&S), DDL OMNI brings a wide range of expertise to any simulation software Independent Verification, Validation and Accreditation (IV&V) / Test and Evaluation (T&E) effort. DDL OMNI analysts are—

  • Skilled in all aspects of M&S, from formulation and interpretation of simulation requirements to development and execution of complex Joint, Coalition, Combined, and Service war games.
  • Well-versed in numerous computer-assisted simulations ranging from large-scale Unified Endeavor exercises to individual Naval warfare area training.
  • Experts in all levels of Naval operations, from individual ship board through fleet staff level.
  • Subject matter experts (SMEs) in all of the Naval warfare areas and bring significant experience in the use of computer-based simulation in support of strategic, operational, and tactical level training.
DDL OMNI has more than 20 years’ experience in software IV&V. This experience includes supporting the requirements definition, Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A), and T&E, as well as validation and data certification of the Joint Simulation System-Maritime (JSIMS-M) and Joint Simulation System (JSIMS).

Our analysts are recognized SMEs in all aspects of maritime operations Joint Simulation validation efforts. We develop and execute all types of test plans and scenarios (verification, validation, regression, integration, etc.), and support acceptability criteria development, conceptual model validation, data certification, preliminary design review, and results or implementation validation.

Broad, In-Depth Experience
DDL OMNI personnel supported the Navy’s Executive Agent for JSIMS-M including development guidance, operational requirements development, life cycle application document development, concept of operations development, and review of all JSIMS-M Conceptual Models (CM), Design Reviews (DR) and Model Expositions (ME). DDL OMNI supported the validation, requirements management, data certification and results validation, and represented the sponsor at numerous JSIMS Alliance and Joint boards.

Our analysts have produced JSIMS-M verification test plans, focusing on acceptability criteria development, conceptual model validation, data certification, preliminary design review and results or implementation validation. Leading the way in joint results validation, DDL OMNI analysts have developed test plans that set the standard for other JSIMS domains' cross-domain interaction validation procedures. The Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC) has adopted these cross-domain validation procedures and depends on DDL OMNI leadership and innovation in making implementation validation events successful.

DDL OMNI supported the Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center (VMASC) in the evaluation and validation of existing military training simulations for purpose of modeling U.S. urban areas; with simulations on the employment of weapons of mass destruction in these urban areas; and simulations on the capabilities of the Department’s civil support capabilities, interactive capacity for live responses for local, state and national civil authorities, and the means to ultimately become part of a larger full-spectrum national security modeling and simulation architecture.

Currently, DDL OMNI analysts provide support to the Joint Warning and Reporting Network (JWARN) program as SMEs, test architects, and testers in matters related to compliance with NATO directives as implemented by JWARN.  As an extension of the  JWARN Test and Evaluation organization, DDL OMNI analysts have provided test procedures, developed scenarios for Multi-Service End-to-End Testing of JWARN, coordinated network architecture development, and set up and acted as Test Lead during testing.  Additionally, DDL OMNI analysts served as government witnesses during Environmental and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing of key hardware components.
