DDL OMNI has a long history of providing comprehensive technical support for U.S. Navy ship control systems (SCS).  Currently supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), DDL OMNI provides—

  • In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support for the Virginia, Seawolf, SSBN, and SSGN ship control systems, and selected Seawolf-class Non-Propulsion Electronic (NPE) systems.
  • Support for the Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) Agent and Technical Design Agent (TDA) functions for the Virginia-class ship control system.
  • Implementation of NAVSEA-directed SCS fly-by-wire (FBW) requirements for all ISEA activities that employ FBW ship control systems. DDL OMNI supports system design and modifications; software development and laboratory testing for current and future software builds; and shipboard integration and shipboard testing for new construction. DDL OMNI further supports NSWCCD in managing and approving each functional system baseline prior to fleet deployment.
  • Support for the Seawolf SCS, Data Distribution Subsystem (DDS), Portable Ship Control Unit (PSCU), Circuit D, and Weapon Stowage and Handling (WSH) systems, including formally witnessing all record run testing conducted by the Software Support Agent (SSA) prior to fleet deployment of software block upgrades and/or hardware components.
