Anytime, Anywhere Installations
Continually building on our submarine shipboard installation work for the past 20 years, DDL OMNI travels around the world to meet our nation's submarine force requirements.

Our Alteration Installation Team (AIT) technicians provide all facets of TempAlt, ShipAlt, and engineering change installations. This capability is evident through extensive installation execution onboard SSN 688/688I, Virginia, Seawolf, SSGN, and SSBN submarine classes.  DDL OMNI personnel are specifically trained in shipboard maintenance and work control procedures to include Tag-out and Work Authorization Forms. Our expert installation services include—

  • Equipment removal
  • Cabling
  • "Connector-ization"
  • Power panel wiring
  • Electrical equipment installation

We plan, procure, fabricate, remove, install, and complete all equipment and electrical aspects of every alteration package, including cable way finishing work.

In addition, DDL OMNI installation personnel have a strong working relationship with planning yards and provide onsite analysis and resolution pertaining to installation issues, Liaison Action Requests (LAR), Departure From Specification (DFS), and redline drawings. We rapidly resolve problems in accordance with published Naval procedures and requirements—a vital component of cost saving in shipboard installations.

Our NAVSEA 04XQ-approved Quality System Manual places us on the Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO) list of approved AITs. This certification, coupled with DDL OMNI's ISO 9001:2008 registered Quality Management System, enables technicians to provide shipboard installation support to the highest degree of quality and reliability. Technicians are familiar with work practices in all areas of submarine installation and are highly proficient in work schedule integration with ship's force, IMA, Naval and private shipyards.
