DDL OMNI Awarded $8.4 Million Contract to Support Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport

McLean, Virginia, March 15, 2010—DDL OMNI is pleased to announce the award of Contract No. N66604-10-D-003A for engineering and technical services in the areas of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Newport, Newport, RI.  Support under this five-year contract, which was awarded on March 12, 2010, is valued at $8.48 million.

DDL OMNI Engineering will provide planning; development of alteration plans and procedures; and assembly, fabrication, installation, testing, refurbishment, and repair of ISR systems and equipment aboard Navy submarines.  Work will be performed in the Norwich, CT, office and aboard U.S. Navy submarines under the direction of Ralph Vlcek, Vice President of the Engineering Services Division.

"This is a significant win for DDL OMNI.  We have previously provided engineering and technical services to NUWC, Newport; however, this contract was not follow-on to any prior work, but a new initiative, which we bid and won as a prime contractor.  DDL OMNI's excellent past performance, consistently high ratings on the work we do, our quality management systems, and superb technical abilities were all factors in this achievement.  Congratulations to the entire DDL OMNI team," said Jim Schaeffer, Chairman, President and CEO.
