DDL OMNI Awarded $28 Million Contract to Support the Naval Sea Systems Command, PEO IWS5
McLean, Virginia, May 16, 2011— DDL OMNI is pleased to announce the award of Contract No. N00024-11-C-5201 for engineering services in support of Naval Sea Systems Command, PEO Integrated Warfare System, Undersea Systems Program Office (PEO IWS5). This contract is valued at $28M and will allow for further development and integration of the Automated Readiness Measurement System (ARMS), a Phase III Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) project developed by DDL OMNI that has successfully transitioned into commercialization. The award also provides for continued technical and engineering support of the Undersea Warfare Decision Support System (USW DSS) and other IWS5 systems.
The engineering services for this contract are multi-faceted and near-term benefits will include sharing innovative signal processing technologies developed for the tactical surface, air and Integrated Undersea Warfare (IUSS) communities, implementing fleet-championed detection, classification, and integrated display improvements as well as evaluating advanced concepts for Undersea Warfare for maturing and transitioning promising technologies from ONR, DARPA, universities and industry to fielded systems.
The contract will be managed from DDL OMNI’s Simulation & Systems Division in Virginia Beach, VA under the direction of Thomas K. Cole, Vice President. Work will be performed in the VA Beach office and government sites ashore and afloat around the world.
