DDL OMNI Awarded $2 Million Contract to Support the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate

McLean, Virginia, August 25, 2010—DDL OMNI is pleased to announce the award of Contract No. HSHQDC-10-F-00126 for test and evaluation services to the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate (DHS S&T) in the area of first responder technology. Support under this contract, which was awarded on August 25, 2010, is valued at $2.011 million.

DDL OMNI will conduct operational field assessments of prototypes developed by or technologies funded by the DHS S&T First Responder Technologies (R-Tech) program.  The program’s goal is to assess operational capabilities and to promote quick transition of these technologies to the commercial market, for use by our nation’s first responder community.  DDL OMNI has provided support to DHS S&T in the identification of these critical technologies since 2008.  This three-year contract will come under the direction of Kirk D. Beene, Vice President, Engineering Division.  Work, led by Wayne J. Smith, will be performed in the McLean, VA, office.
