DDL OMNI’s Simulation Division has extensive experience
in preparing a distributed modeling and simulation exercise
to train the Navy’s Carrier and Expeditionary Strike
Groups, including Joint and Coalition forces, in today’s
increasingly complex operational environment. DDL OMNI can
produce synthetic exercises that provide a venue to observe,
objectively evaluate, and rate the performance of a unit
or a combination of units. DDL OMNI recently assisted in
the execution of the highly successful Multi Battle Group
Inport Exercise, which provided the joint training audience
with a 56-hour continuous play battle problem.
DDL OMNI personnel capabilities include—
- Developing
training objectives and designing the scenario and mission
essential task list to meet these objectives.
- Supporting
both schoolhouse and distributed training.
- Providing
exercise game directors, white cell personnel, JSAF operators,
mentors, evaluators, and role players.
- Testing
and validating scenarios to ensure they meet exercise
objectives.
- Designing
training courses and conducting initial training for new
operators and refresher training for experienced operators
on the Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) modeling and
simulation system in order to meet the complex Role Player
and Console Operator requirements of the exercise.
- Providing
technical and communications expertise to link and interface
participating sites and game participants via satellite,
RF, video teleconferencing, and Voice Over Internet Protocol
(VoIP).
- Designing
and implementing reliable voice communications and exporting
the scenario to an overseas site.
- Performing
LAN/WAN administration.
- Providing
exercise website design and maintenance for all exercise
participants during the planning and execution phases.
- Supporting
a Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) Training Event,
which includes participation of units such as—
