Wargaming

DDL OMNI has vast experience providing wargaming to support training objectives. For the past 22 years, DDL OMNI has provided computer assisted wargaming support to TACTRAGRULANT, TACTRAGRUPAC and NWC, and has been actively involved in the full spectrum of gaming support, including game design, development, execution, and after action reporting.

DDL OMNI has exceptional experience in the preparation and modification of gaming scenarios tailored to specific training objections for each training audience. Each tailored scenario is developed in accordance with fleet sponsor’s training objectives or applicable course content and is fully supportive of current fleet operational guidelines. All scenarios accurately reflect and present the best estimates of the threat capabilities and procedures, as well as U.S., NATO, Combined, and Coalition forces’ capabilities (platform, weapons, sensors, communications systems, surveillance systems, logistics, etc.) and standard tactical operating procedures. DDL OMNI regularly conducts liaison with Numbered Fleet Commanders, Group Commanders, and subordinate staffs to obtain or determine specific wargaming objectives, force laydown, and scenario requirements and continues to develop support innovative gaming techniques.

Modeling & Simulation Training Systems Knowledge
DDL OMNI personnel are intimately familiar with virtually every training simulation system currently in use by Fleet staffs and Navy schoolhouses in support of Category I and II training. This includes the Enhanced Naval Warfare Gaming System (ENWGS), the MAGTAF Tactical Warfare System (MTWS), the Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT), Joint Simulation System (JSIMS) and the Joint Semi-Autonomous Forces (JSAF) Simulation. DDL OMNI personnel are familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of each of these simulation systems and the ability of each to meet the training needs of the intended training audience.

DDL OMNI personnel are also familiar with the capabilities of current Category III training system capabilities and are skilled in the development of Category III generic training system requirements as well as Category III user demands. Most importantly, DDL OMNI has knowledge of the JSIMS and JSIMS Maritime development efforts and has a reputation for thorough, thoughtful, and timely support to JTASC user, requirements, and testing organizations.
