DDL OMNI Engineering has a proven record in shipboard
installations. Our Alteration Installation Team (AIT) technicians
are capable of providing all facets of TempAlt, ShipAlt,
and engineering change installations. This capability is
evident through numerous TempAlt and ShipAlt installations
for both SSN 688 and SSN 688I class ships. DDL OMNI personnel
are specifically trained in shipboard maintenance and work
control procedures to include Tag-out and Work Authorization
Forms.
DDL OMNI installation personnel have a strong working relationship
with planning yards and provide onsite analysis and resolution
pertaining to installation issues, Liaison Action Requests
(LAR), Departure From Specification (DFS), and redline drawings.
Rapid problem resolution IAW published Naval procedures
and requirements is a vital component of cost saving in
shipboard installations.
DDL OMNI’s NAVSEA 04XQ approved Quality System Manual
places us on the Regional Maintenance and Modernization
Coordination Office (RMMCO) list of approved Alteration
and Installation Teams (AIT). This certification, coupled
with DDL OMNI's ISO 9001:2000 registered Quality Management
System, enables technicians to provide shipboard installation
support to the highest degree of quality and reliability.
Technicians are familiar with work practices in all areas
of submarine installation and are highly proficient in work
schedule integration with ship's force, IMA, Naval and private
shipyards.
