Corporate Officers

Mr. Thomas K. Cole
Vice President, Simulation and Systems Division


Mr. Cole has more than 30 years of progressive leadership and management experience in defense-related programs and technology.

Following graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, Mr. Cole completed a year-long graduate level engineering course involving all aspects of nuclear propulsion plant operation, supervision, and maintenance.  Mr. Cole served in various assignments on board Navy submarines, including Executive Officer of the USS Cincinnati (SSN 693) and Commanding Officer of the USS Phoenix (SSN 702). His shore and staff assignments in the Submarine Force included Director of SSN Readiness; Deputy Commander, Submarine Squadron Six; Senior Member, Tactical Readiness Evaluation Team; Wargaming Director at Tactical Training Group Atlantic; and Officer in Charge, Navy Warfare Development Command, Norfolk.

Mr. Cole joined DDL OMNI in 2001 as Managing Director of the Simulation and Systems Division, with responsibility for overseeing program management of various contracts, new business development initiatives, ISO 9001:2000 initiatives, product quality coordination, and day-to-day management of division programs, personnel, and facilities. 

In August 2007, Mr. Cole was promoted to Vice President of the Simulation and Systems Division, whose customers include the Joint Forces Command, Fleet Forces Command, Naval Sea Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Command, Navy Warfare Development Command, and the Numbered Fleet Commanders.  The division’s principal services and technologies include IV&V, T&E, computer-assisted wargaming, tactical classroom support, tactical development and evaluation, and modeling and simulation.

Mr. Cole holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree in education and human resource development from The George Washington University.  His military service awards include the Legion of Merit with Gold Star, the Meritorious Service Medal with two Gold Stars, the Navy Commendation Medal with two Gold Stars, the Navy Achievement Medal with Gold Star, and various unit and service awards.
